7 Years of Beautiful Bliss

I have a crush on Jessie plus the name is great.

Pooh was fun to take a picture with, I think that we were the only adults in line that wanted to take a picture with him.

Tiger was a huge flirt towards shannon and tried to push me out of the picture every time the photographer tried to take the picture.

For our 7th anniversary I decided to do something big so we did a two night deal at disneyland. We did all of the big-kid rides and did them again and again. The workers there were really fantastic and nice when they seen our "happy anniversary" pins. A few of our favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Screamin California coaster, Indiana Jones ride and Pirates of the Caribbean. We finally seen the submarine ride since it was only a 20 minute wait. The Hollywood Hotel of Terror was fantastic and freakin scary as wet pants!! We meet some really nice people around the park especially these 2 couples that were married for 20 years and 19 years and I swear they looked as old as us. We took advantage of the photographers there at disneyland so we will be posting some other good ones.

It was really nice to be alone with each other and to really feel and realize we are truly best friends. We laughed and was motion sick together and extremely tired after the end of the day. After all was said it was memorable to where we want to do it again next year or just spontaneously do it again really soon. Our love as grown so much from the beginning, and I am grateful that we are still going strong!

Our Kitchen

Shannon wanted to beautify our kitchen in a creative way. With the sunflower theme she added the "b's" from President Hinkley talks. It turned out really good and inspiring every time you look into the kitchen. Keep it up hottie!!

Playing chutes and ladders???

Ok seriously I haven't played this game in my life, and for something so simple I had to read the instructions on how to play. On the box it says quote "You don't have to know how to read to play this game!" We had a blast figuring it out, even though we didn't play it the right way.

A "Super Post" for "Super Slackers"

It's rare that we do anything on the computer during the month of December because of the holidays, so here is our Holiday/Birthday update:

For FHE we had Aunt Deb come over and spend some time with us! After the lesson we went to Ethel M. Chocolates to see the lights! It was cold but very fun. The girls drove with Debbie and LOVED it! They were really upset when she had to leave! Thank you Aunt Deb for coming over. We love you!

These are just a few Christmas decorations for our First Christmas in our new home! Nothing big because our finances were tight but, we still had a great Christmas! Besides, it's not about what you get, it's about what you give!

This is our Gingerbread house we made with some of the cousins. Thanks Heidi, Ashley, and Nathan for visiting our home!

Christmas decorations my mom gave us! We had to put them on the fridge because we don't have any shelves.

Our FIRST Christmas tree!

We had a nice surprise before Christmas! Aunt Deb, Aunt Betty, Rose, Janet Bennett, Jackie Posehl, Aunt Virginia, Uncle Larry, MaryAnn and Lacey all came to see our new house! I was so excited to see everyone there that I forgot to take pictures! But Auri remembered! So these pictures are courtesy of Aurianna's Photography!
Aunt Deb!

(l to r) Lacey, MaryAnn (single BTW) Uncle Larry and Aunt Virginia on the couch! Thank you all for coming! We miss you and love you like crazy!

This was my parents home the night we threw the girls birthday bash. Over 6 inches of snow at my parents! It did not look like Henderson. We'll do a seperate post for that. We had a blast!

The 17th we celebrated, not only Ani's birthday but Auri's as well. Auri's birthday is actually the 30th (my birthday) but Jess and Kev were in town and we wanted them to be here for both birthdays since they live in Virginia and don't visit more than once a year! We also had there sweet friends Evan and Mason Hardy over. Thank you to those that came! I know it was hard cause it snowed like crazy.
They had a Tinker bell Birthday! So cute! And no I did NOT make the cake...Walmart did!

Opening gifts Christmas Eve at Grandpa and Grandma Mangum's house!
(L to R) Emma (niece), Lily (Niece), Ani and Jaron (nephew)

Auri playing with her new Barbie!

Ani with her new princess notebook!

Ammon with his new baseball toy! He still can't quite get the hang of it yet. It's fun to watch him though!

2:30 am Christmas Morning! (YUCK!) Auri and Ani!

Auri and Ani NOT noticing it's 2:30 in the morning! Jesse made those doll houses in the background...cool huh?!

Ammon having a blast with everything!

For my birthday, Jesse surprised me and took me on an "Overnight date" to Aliante Hotel. I have now decided that those are my favorite dates! The day started at about 1:30pm when we dropped the kids off at their favorite Uncle Clint and Aunt Michelle's house for, what I thought was just the afternoon. As we were leaving, Jesse told me that he booked a hotel room and we had all afternoon, night and morning to do whatever "I" wanted. I was in Heaven!!! We ate lunch, went to a movie, ate dinner, went back to the hotel room and watched tv. We never left the hotel. Everything was right there in the casino! I even got to sleep in! Thank you love of my life...YOU ARE THE BEST! And a GINORMOUS THANK YOU to Clint and Michelle for taking the kids! You guys are the best!

Here are some pictures of our room! It was small but classy and VERY cozy! But when you have your spouse for a WHOLE evening by your self.....what more do you really need?!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's! We love you all and hope that this year is a blessed one for all of you!
