Kim, Rex, Evan and Mason invited us over for FHE tonight and it was a blast. We learned about the sacrament and the many things that we need to keep in mind while we partake of the bread and wine water. After that we played in their backyard and around 8-ish I set up the projector and we watched the PIXAR shorts. The kids loved it and so did Rex and Kim. It was really nice of them to coordinate a FHE with us. I just glad that Rex didn't ask us to speak since we are moving quickly out of the ward starting in July (cross our fingers).
We learned about keeping the commandments and about Nephi and obtaining the plates. Shannon did a fantastic job with all of the cousins and nephews their along with our kids. We had a blast putting the lesson on along with the creation of the treats. I will just say that they still taste good!
This was wonderful family home evening that we had tonight. The lesson was on solving problems. By solving problems we listen to the Holy Ghost carefully and heed to the promptings to solve the problem. Here is a memberable quote from Auri: We asked Auri what a problem is...and here is what she said to us. "My idea is in the sun. I can't get it. I'll have to get it tomorrow and fly like a bird." The pictures shown is a activity about placing only certain parts of your body in the square. As you can see that it was very hard but yet very fun!
