At Grandpa and Grandma Petty's house

Here is where my parents live in Liberty UT "ZION". It is very beautiful country up there in the mountains but I need a little bit of city life where I go. Fresh air, moose and elk eating your grass on your lot. This is what las vegas will look like in the 2nd coming "yea, I am crossing my fingers"!

The nieces and nephews were over the other night and it was just to quite upstairs so Shannon went to go check on them and this is what they were doing. Kids will be kids, and when they are we just sit back and enjoy the moment.

Our Little Vacation

Since I was off from school last week, we thought that we needed to take a trip up to see the GREAT Grandparents and Aunt. We had a blast, Doug and Janet was there and along with Jennifer and her kids were there. We had a blast. It was such a big issue because they haven't seen Ammon...ever! So we thought about getting away and enjoying family.

Roberta Naegle Petty

I know that this was a while ago, but I was shocked that I found this on Google. I very proud of my grandma and also my grandpa (Rodeo) Petty. I couldn't find Rodeo's obituary but I will dig deeper and place it on here. This is mostly for me to remind me of my great heritage.


Roberta Naegle Petty, age 75, passed away April 2, 2006, in Cedar City. She was born Nov. 26, 1930, in Toquerville, Utah, to Jesse Bringhurst and Eden Edith Flesher Naegle. She married Rodeo Petty on July 15, 1950, in Pioche, Nev. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodeo.

After Roberta and Rodeo were married, they moved to Henderson, Nev., in 1955, where they raised their family. Roberta always supported her family in everything that they did—whether it was hunting, rodeo, fishing, camping or baseball, she was always there. She was devoted to her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Roberta loved the outdoors. She loved to go hunting and camping with her family. She worked and also retired from the St. Rose Dominican Hospital for 27 years. Roberta was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her children Arnold Roe Petty (Norma) of Tridell, Utah; Steven Ray Petty (Colleen) of Liberty, Utah; and also Debra Petty of Henderson, Nev. Roberta is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, Larry Jess Naegle (Virgina) of Cedar City, and one sister, Betty Bess of Henderson, Nev. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Eden Naegle, and her granddaughter, Michelle Thearse Petty.

We are so very glad that you have found your way back into Grandpa's arms after the many years without him. We love you so much and are constantly thinking about you and Grandpa.

Winter Wonder Land!!

Grandma Petty emailed us on the 13th and this is what they received up in the cabin country.

We are jealous...very jealous! And there is Grandpa Petty mowing the snow out of the way! He is having to much fun it looks like! Did the snow shovel go on strike?

I was very hesitant of putting this picture up but I think as long as we keep in mind the sacred nature of this ordinance it will be ok. This picture is only showing the wonderful men in the circle helping me give the blessing to my son.

I couldn't ask for any better men and worthy men to be in the circle with me then these men. I grateful for their support and love for me and my family. From what I remember of the blessing which is very, very little; it was a pretty good blessing for a warrior of our heavenly father in these times of confusion. My wife and I would like to thank all of you who came out to witness and support us. We love you very much!

We love Grandpa Petty even tho we have to kick, complain, beg him to hold his precious grandchild. We know deep, deep (I mean REAL DEEP) inside he is loving every second of it when he sees his children and grandchildren. And especially when he gets to hold them. It was very exciting to see Grandpa Petty there at the blessing even more excited to see him hold Ammon in his special blessing outfit.

The Grandparents!!!!

We do have to admit that we love seeing Mom and Dad together (with their grandchild) smiling and having fun. It does warm our hearts to see such proud and happy grandparents being active in their grand children's lives. We hope that there will be a lot more memories to make! It does mean a great deal when we can capture a memory like this on a camera!

Ammon can not get enough of Grandma Petty. We are very grateful that they were able to come down for the holiday and for the blessing of Ammon. I am pretty sure Ammon is grateful and will be grateful in the future when he looks back on this very special event.

Aunt Debbie and Ammon Nathan

We have been trying to see Aunt Debbie every Sunday but sometimes that doesn't happen as we would like. But here are some pictures of Aunt Debbie who on the Petty side of the family was first to hold Ammon. All he did was cry the hold time (messy britches!) but Debbie didn't take it to heart. We love you Aunt Deb!

The "Greatest" Great Aunt Deb

We have been visiting Aunt Debbie for a few weeks now and she keeps on having a srong heart about all of the circumstances that keep on being brought up about her knees. She has been well blessed in many different ways. I have always placed her on a shelf where all of my heros have been. She is a person worth having as a mentor and a hero through trials and tribulations. Keep on smiling and having a good heart about life. We love you Aunt Deb!
